This year's Nightfall had, by far, the best nighttime skies in the seven years that I've attended.

That's me. I set up the solar scope and did some "Sidewalk Solar" in the afternoons. An umbrella is required equipment down there. It was around 90 degrees during the day.

The umbrella also helps to keep the Sun out of your eyes when looking through the scope. And it looks really cool! :)
